The Formation of a New Synaptic Connection, (Brain - Neural Circuit)

When you learn about self-leadership development you are forced to ask better questions of yourself, which will increase your self awareness. With every new learning you create a new Synapse and when you implement / practice what you have learned that Synapse will CONNECT to other Synapse and create a NEW Synaptic Cluster, or a habit of thought / behaviour / emotional connection. The more you fire and wire the same thought / behaviour, the cluster will grow into an empowering BELEIF, an auto program to which you refer to determine improved emotional response. The former disempowering belief, the original go-to program, is no longer fired therefore Synaptic Clipping , designed to reclaim brain real estate, will diminish the size of the cluster so you refer to it less and less.

For now, understand that your past actions create your current identity… If a new action conflicts with your current identity a fear of unfamiliarity ensues, which can immobilise… Your mind is designed to keep us in familiarity and out of conflict. You have conscious and subconscious motivations, just as you have conscious and subconscious beliefs, which for many will be opposing. For example, you have fleeting conscious desires for bigger, better or thinner, yet most of the time you subconsciously live in lack of those desires, expressed in your self-talk as, it’s not fair, or why can’t I, or one day I’ll, etc.

Your Self Image: How you see yourself in different situation
Your Self Esteem: How much you like / love/ value yourself and therefore how you ‘feel’ about yourself in different situations

95% of your waking day you are operating from subconscious programs created in your past designed to keep you comfortably familiar... Patterns of thought and habits of behaviour you have repeated so often that your mind has created auto-programs to diminish the need in time or mental effort to reference how to repeat or perform them consciously; this is Autopilot.

Most people don’t fly because they can’t see their own wings. The only difference between who you are now and who you want to be is how you see yourself and how much you like yourself. You have been criticising yourself continually... How is that working out for you? Try approving of yourself and see what happens. You are perfectly imperfect in every way .... Learn self-love, practice self-forgiveness, and learn self-acceptance… and stop trying to live up to others.
